Insurance benefits are determined by your individual insurance plan and are not guaranteed.

Rushed care can leave you unheard, over-prescribed, or confused about next steps.
When consent feels like a formality and plans ignore your reality, it’s easy to lose trust in the process and in yourself.
You deserve care that meets you where you are, respects your autonomy, and moves at a human pace.

At Rediscovered Psychiatry, care is collaborative, trauma-informed, and HAES-aligned
We slow down, listen closely, and make decisions together.
Medication is a tool we can use carefully, never a mandate.
For eating disorder care, we center safety, nourishment, nervous-system regulation, and coordination with therapists and dietitians when a team is helpful.
Cultural context matters here; all identities are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect from our first session?
Your first visit is a 60- to 90-minute psychiatric evaluation — but it’s not an interrogation. We’ll talk through your story, your current symptoms, and what’s been getting in the way of feeling like yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s been tried before, what’s helped, what hasn’t, and where you’d like to go from here. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of next steps — whether that’s medication, therapy integration, lifestyle support, or simply space to breathe and be understood.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. Rediscovered Psychiatry is in-network with several major insurance plans. If I’m not yet credentialed with yours, you can still work with me using out-of-network benefits or private pay options. I take into account with insurances to panel with as the practice grows. I also reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots (Tier 2 and Tier 3) each year for those experiencing financial barriers to care. These are offered on a trust-based system and reviewed annually to maintain accessibility and sustainability.
Insurances currently accepted:
Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey, Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania, and Quest Behavioral Health
What if I’m nervous about medication?
That’s okay, most people are! Medication isn’t a mandate here; it’s a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s worked (and what hasn’t), your comfort level, and your goals. My role is to give you information, not pressure, so you can make empowered, informed choices about your treatment.
Do you offer therapy too?
Yes. Most follow-up sessions naturally integrate supportive, insight-based therapy alongside medication management that I believe is necessary within my scope of practice. If you’re looking for deeper, ongoing psychotherapy, I often collaborate closely with therapists and dietitians to create a unified care team around you.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, and perfectionism. Many of my clients identify as AAPI, neurodiverse, or highly sensitive individuals seeking care that feels both evidence-based and emotionally safe.
Who might not be the right fit?
Currently, I’m not able to work with clients who are on methadone or suboxone, enrolled in MAT programs, or seeking court-mandated evaluations. I also don’t yet accept Medicare (though I plan to in the future). If you need crisis or inpatient-level support, I’ll help connect you with trusted community resources that specialize in that level of care.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens, we are human. I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may result in a fee, as that time is reserved specifically for you and takes away the opportunity for my work with others. Please reach out to me, I want to work with your life, not against it.
Do you complete disability, FMLA, work-leave, accommodation paperwork, or pharmacy prior authorization support?
Care services include: Disability, FMLA, Work-Leave & Accommodation Paperwork / Pharmacy calls, prior authorization support for specialty drugs.
All disability, FMLA, work-leave, or accommodation forms must be completed during a dedicated, scheduled session with patient.
Pharmacy calls and prior authorization issues require their own dedicated scheduled session, with patient.
Completion of paperwork is not guaranteed and depends on clinical appropriateness and supporting documentation.
These policies protect:
– the quality of your clinical care
– fairness for all patients
– clear boundaries around time and documentation
– accuracy and thoroughness in disability/leave evaluations
– compliance with legal and ethical standardsAdministrative tasks require a separate session to ensure this.
Can you see me via telehealth?
Yes, most sessions are held virtually for your comfort and accessibility. I currently offer telepsychiatry to adults located in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey (with plans to expand to more states soon).
What’s your approach to eating disorder care?
Gentle, evidence-based, and non-diet. My work is HAES-aligned, trauma-informed, and collaborative. We focus on safety, self-trust, and nervous-system healing, not weight goals. I collaborate with therapists, RDs, and primary care providers to support the whole picture of recovery.
What if I’ve had bad experiences with psychiatry before?
That’s the heart of why Rediscovered Psychiatry exists. If you’ve been dismissed, overmedicated, or told you “weren’t sick enough,” this is your space to try again, on your terms. We’ll move slowly, collaboratively, and transparently. You don’t have to earn compassion here.
